Lutz offers parts made with DuPont Performance Elastomers Genuine Viton® fluoroelastomer.
Viton® Family Technical Info:
The Viton® Family consists of several standard
and specialty types of polymers that differ based on their
composition and fluorine content.
Each type
differs in its ability to: resist permeation and
volume increase, handle high/low temperature extremes, resist attack and property
degradation caused by chemicals and
fluids.
The latest types of Viton® made with Advanced Polymer Architecture (APA) are indicated by an 'S'.
The choice of the most appropriate type of Viton® to use for any given end-use application will be determined
by the end-use service and a materials' resistance or lack of resistance to the situations below:
- Resistance to amines or caustic fluids
- Resistance to hydrocarbon fluids
- Flexibility at low temperature (ability to maintain a seal at low temperature)
The end-use performance capability of the various types of Viton® differ primarily in terms of the above
factors.
Why Lutz is your best choice :
Products made from genuine Viton® fluoroelastomers, including Viton® ETP, (look for the Genuine Viton® seal) give the highest assurance that the polymer content of those seals is 100% virgin Viton® FKM, not a blend, alloy, or other product containing reprocessed elastomer. When you use products that carry this seal, compliance to OSHA Mechanical Integrity Section 1910.119 is assured. As an ISO 9001 registered firm, Lutz stands behind every product, every time.
